Restorative Implant Dentistry

Dental implants can be used to replace one or more missing teeth and are an alternative to conventional bridges and dentures. A dental implant replaces a missing root with a titanium screw placed in the jawbone. A crown or denture is securely placed on top of the implant(s) and can withstand chewing forces like natural teeth. Implants have many options for tooth replacement including:

  • Conservation of existing bone
  • No tooth preparation (as in bridges)
  • Esthetic: look and feel like natural teeth
